Frequent trips to the bank are a must when you live in a cash society. Spence and Elder Krupp have to go regularly to pick up enough Niara to run the mission. They're holding N200,000 or about $1,800 and we rarely use coins. The largest denomination is N1,000 and we're hoping they will start making N5,000 bills soon! A few years ago the largest denomination was N200 and our friends told us you had to take a suitcase of money to go out to dinner. 
The Vegetable Market is one way to spend your Naira. Vegetables are plentiful but much smaller than what we're used to buying in the United States. Sister Krupp has found all the best markets and some vegetables are delivered right to our door!

Wow, and I thought HK money was in large amounts. I can't believe you carry around 1,000.00! Guess it's big money, small veggies!
Hi! Your blog is wonderful. We think and pray for you often. Our Amy is now in the MTC on her way to Norway! She will get home just before you do. We will have to have a big family reunion!! I'll start working on that. Missions are great, but there are trials, we will ever pray for you!
