The mission couldn't survive without the help of a lot of people. President Opoku (left), of the Ife District Presidency, and his wife prepare food for our Zone Conferences in Ife. They do a great job and the missionaries LOVE the huge plate of rice, chicken, fried plantains and hard boiled egg.
We really appreciate this fellow, he comes every Thursday and goes through the dumpster. He takes everything out, organizes it, and takes away anything he can recycle. What's left will probably get dumped on some roadside somewhere. We don't know how he balances that heavy load! President Jones would love to strike up a relationship with the only other biker in all of Lagos.
These are 2 of the guards. We have them at the Chapel front and back gates as well as our apartment gate.
Susan comes to our door every Monday and Friday with fresh fruit and vegetables. She usually has the heavy bag balanced on her head! She was lucky to get an okada ride on this day.
