Our workers had to be very careful as they worked barefoot and without cross-boards on the scaffolding. (Where's OSHA?)Can it really be happening? The building is now painted and the scaffolding is down!
The "cement mixers" are still working! Just today yet another batch of cement was mixed up. (There have been hundreds!) The men get a pile of sand, stir in concrete, add a bucket of gravel, pour on some water, mix it up, and VIOLA! It's all very scientific. Buildings are constructed very differently here. They're made of blocks so wiring and plumbing must be chiseled into the walls and then patched with cement.
It's punch list time! Finishing touches are added on the inside. The Mission Offices are on the ground floor. Our residence will be on the middle floor as well as a senior couple apartment and a couple of rooms for visitors. The Neuders (Lagos West Mission President) are on the top floor with 2 senior couple apartments.
The car park is finished, the details are being taken care of, move-in date is Friday, October 31.(Sorry about the reflection on the window)

You two look like you're thriving. Great picture! And how wonderful to get your new building up and going. I guess you're moving today (Halloween) if all goes according to schedule. Did you feel like you were back in civilization when you went to Ghana. The temple looks pretty impressive.
